The Depot Now A Destination For Game Aficionados

If titles like Magic the Gathering, Ticket to Ride, Munchkin, and Dungeons & Dragons make you want to stop everything and start playing, you definitely need to check out the newest shop in Greer Station. Platform 42 is downtown’s newest destination for all things games, comics, and collectibles.

Platform 42 has a selection of the most popular card and board games of the moment as well as plenty of tables to play your favorites on with friends. The shop will have events for game lovers of all ages with tournaments, board game nights, and Dungeons & Dragons nights. On their motivation to open Platform 42, owners Paul and Yvette said, “We wanted to open a place for younger people to be able to hang out downtown and play games.”

Platform 42 joins a handful of new businesses in the Depot, which is now full, that are excited about opening in Greer.  “We’ve lived in Greer for 9 years. We fell in love with the Depot when we saw it. The character of the building and the fact that it used to be a train station drew us in,” said the owners. “The business community downtown has been very kind and supportive since we opened and we are looking forward to partnering with our neighbors and working together to bring people downtown.”

Platform 42 is located in the historic Depot building at 300 Randall Street, Suite E. Join them Saturday, July 4 for their grand opening celebration and Magic the Gathering booster draft tournament.
