The Shoppes on Trade is open for business as of January 30, 2013 at 211 Trade Street in Hip and Historic Greer Station.
The Shoppes on Trade, formerly Shoppes at the Grapevine, brings together a variety of artisans offering products including home goods, handmade items, art, jewelry, floral items, furniture, and clothing.
Owner, Kendra Glenn shared her reason for choosing Greer, “We chose Greer to compliment the retail that is already in downtown. The more retail the more traffic for everyone. Space is limited in downtown Greer, our concept offers a lot of different retail opportunities under one roof. My family has owned the building for over twenty years and has several successful businesses in this location.”
The Shoppes on Trade will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
Glenn expanded on what the retail concept of The Shoppes on Trade achieves. “The Shoppes is an entrepreneurial incubator, we assist talented entrepreneurs develop their ideas and their business. We hope to help them become successful retailers expanding to larger locations. It gives them a chance to test their products in the marketplace.”
