Salon Sophia and Yeah, That Boutique Relocate to Downtown Greer

City of Greer Sees Return on Investment for CenterG Project Phase 2

GREER, S.C.Salon Sophia and Yeah, That Boutique, a family owned business currently located on Wade Hampton Boulevard, is announcing their relocation to 110 Cannon Street in downtown Greer in early April 2021. Cannon Street is included in the City of Greer’s current CenterG Streetscape Project, Phase 2.

Sheila and Chad Vickery opened Salon Sophia 15 years ago. Then in 2015, with a goal of providing their clients with a complete look, they opened Yeah, That Boutique within the salon. In 2020, their daughter, Sophia Kennedy, became a partner and Yeah, That Boutique broadened with an online presence.

Sheila Vickery stated, “During this past year, living through a pandemic, we have observed a shift in our industry and the world around us. So many clients would say to us, ‘Thank you for being here!’, ‘Thank you for creating a peaceful place, a place to come in and just relax!’ We quickly realized we wanted to take that to the next level. We wanted to create a destination and recreate something from years gone by from a time when people went to town to shop, visit the salon, and grab lunch and a coffee. What better place to do that than Downtown Greer? I think we all have realized the importance of having community support around us. We need each other, and we could not be more excited about becoming part of the Downtown Greer Community! We look forward to bringing you our very best both at Salon Sophia and Yeah, That Boutique!”

Tiffany and Kurt Price, owners of Namaste Fitness Studio, also located on Cannon Street, have leveraged the CenterG project and the growth of their own business to not only expand their own business, but to upfit three neighboring buildings which will house Harvest Kitchen, also opening in April, Pure Wellness Spa, and now Salon Sophia and Yeah, That Boutique.

Tiffany and Kurt Price stated, “As we began our venture with Namaste Fitness Studio (NFS) we had a vision of unique possibilities for Cannon Street. We envisioned great opportunities for additional health‑related establishments. After purchasing the three buildings next door and securing tenants for an organic cafe and health spa, we waited for a business that would blend well with all that was being offered. When Salon Sophia approached us with their concept of a specialty women’s boutique retail store and salon, we knew we had a winning fit. We believe it is a perfect blend for Cannon Street and that our existing NFS clients will support these new businesses. We are beyond excited to complete our part of the City of Greer’s CenterG project by growing Cannon Street together with yet another fantastic business.”

Mayor Rick Danner stated, “Once again, the public- private partnerships found in the City of Greer have attracted an exciting new business to downtown. Salon Sophia and Yeah, That Boutique are perfect additions to the growing number of boutiques and businesses in downtown. We welcome the Vickery family and their businesses to downtown Greer.”

Salon Sophia and Yeah, That Boutique plan to open in the first quarter of 2021, and can be reached at 864.421.7211 or via email at [email protected].
