The Partnership for Tomorrow’s (PFT) mission is to bring great ideas to life in Greer.
Community Leaders and local businesses created the Partnership for Tomorrow in 1998 to provide opportunities for collaboration among public and private sector companies in Greer and to raise funds to execute on a common strategy for the growth of Greer that included new, innovative ideas that would further the economic potential and quality of life of Greer.
Now, 23 years later, the Partnership for Tomorrow is recognized as the convener of public and private entities in Greer and has helped them to collectively plan and faithfully execute a common strategy that has helped Greer grow responsibly toward its full potential. The money that the Partnership for Tomorrow has raised has seeded new programs, supported innovative ideas, and leveraged new investments in the community. After two successful community master plans, downtown Greer property and infrastructure renovation programs, the creation of a single economic development organization focused on the Greer community, support for festivals and community attractions, and public art installations and performances, the Partnership for Tomorrow represents not only a success for Greer, but a model for other communities interested in harnessing the power of public/private partnerships to collectively plan, fundraise, and execute toward responsible and enviable community growth.
With the same bold vision proposed by the Partnership for Tomorrow’s founders, today’s Greer Community leaders have envisioned a new path for the Partnership for Tomorrow that keeps foundational roles of serving as the Greer Community’s convener of Public and Private entities to collectively plan for Greer’s future, but also embraces new goals and a new structure focusing on Building Greer’s Entrepreneurship Ecosystem and Recruiting and Retaining the Most Talented people to fill jobs, open new businesses, innovate, and help Greer continue to be the community of choice in Upstate South Carolina.
