(Greer, South Carolina) The Greer Development Corporation (“GDC”) is pleased to announce that Only Southern Made is the winner of GDC’s first Greer Station Summer Marketing Match Contest.
In order to help downtown Greer businesses stretch summer marketing budgets, the Greer Development Corporation created a contest to match investments for a winning downtown Greer summer marketing campaign by 50%.
Only Southern Made’s winning application will use social media and in-store activities to increase foot traffic in downtown Greer by increasing awareness of the availability of unique, handmade gift items and summer-themed merchandise. Only Southern Made will hold a Sidewalk Sale on July 21 and 22 and offer a Summer Giveaway valued at $100 in order to encourage people to visit the store.
Only Southern Made is located at 102 Trade Street and is owned and operated by partners, friends and moms, Kim Banks, Lindsay Chastain, and Liza Jones. From their collection of tees, shirts, and hats reflecting Southern Pride to adorable baby and kid gifts to accessories, Southern Firefly Candle Co., and collegiate merchandise, Only Southern Made has the perfect gift for any occasion. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and on Saturday from noon to 5:00 p.m.
“As winners of the Marketing Match Contest, we are combining two passions – introducing individuals to unique gift ideas that celebrate the southern culture, as well as to the shops, businesses, and restaurants that make up Greer Station,” said Liza Jones, who co-owns Only Southern Made with friends and business partners Lindsay Chastain and Kim Banks. “This area has been so welcoming to our boutique and we hope to have the chance to welcome new visitors (and returning ones!) to the area through this Summer Sidewalk Sale Event.”
