The Greer Development Corporation (GDC) is pleased to announce that York Constructors and Cunningham Waters along with MCA Architecture will construct a distribution center on the property of the Greer Soup Kitchen.
Greer Soup Kitchen currently provides food for those in need but the volunteers at the Soup Kitchen want to be able to assist others who may have additional needs, for items such as clothing or blankets. Due to specific regulation set by DHEC the Soup Kitchen would like the distribution center to be located in a separate building. MCA Architecture has donated the plans for building and York Constructors and Cunningham Waters are teaming up together to have building materials donated. Once all the building material is secured they will then construct the building. Bill Keener with York Constructors stated “it’s little bit out of our norm, but we are teamed up to get this thing completely donated as best we can”. Keen said that they would build on big timber skids so that it could be moved around if needed.
