BMW Car Club moving from Greenville to Greer

The BMW Car Club of America Foundation is moving from Greenville to a larger building next to the BMW Performance Center in Greer.

The move allows the foundation to grow as a resource of BMW historical information and to continue education and safety initiatives for the automotive community, including its Street Survival teen driver safety program, according to a news release.

The foundation plans to build a library, museum and archive at the 15,000-square-foot facility at 190 Manatee Court. The group will launch a capital campaign to pay for the additions.

The foundation will move from its current Pelham Davis Circle location to the Greer facility in September.

NAI Earle Furman represented the foundation and the seller, Hendrix Heating and Air Services, in the transaction.

The 79,000-member BMW Car Club of America Foundation, a wholly separate entity from BMW North America and BMW Manufacturing, was organized in Greenville in 2002.
