- The Blue Ridge Brewing Co. will be closing its doors on North Main by the end of this year ─ 20 years after the brewpub staked out the first territory for craft beer in downtown Greenville. The roll out for the Greer Blue Ridge Brewing location will come in April as Hiller said he didn’t want to open in the dead of winter — but he said he’s known ever since he sold his share in Foothills that he’d have to move production from downtown. - After 20 years, Blue Ridge Brewing Company will be closing its downtown Greenville location by the end of this year. But loyal customers need not fear. Already in progress is a new location at 308 Trade St. (the former Cazbah space) in downtown Greer that will open by April 1, 2016. - The Blue Ridge Brewing Co. in Greer is scheduled to open in April, according to owner Bob Hiller. It will feature a full-scale brewery next door. “I don’t like opening restaurants in winter and the Greer rooftop is so important to us we feel pretty confident that we can be open in the first or second week of April,” Hiller told GreerToday.com.
