On Thursday, November 5, the Greer Development Corporation held its Annual Meeting in Greer City Hall. David Swenson, from the York County Economic Development Board, was the featured speaker. He spoke about Economic Development in Today’s Competitive market and his presentation can be found below.
A few highlights from our Annual Report:
- 25 successful projects
- $158 million in new capital investment
- 304 new jobs
- $1.03 billion in gross retail sales
- 124 business retention visits
- 15% downtown vacancy rate
The Chairman’s Award for Economic Development was awarded to Allen Cullum of Cullum Interests for his development work with Velocity Park and his new 240,000 square foot spec development at 545 Brookshire Road.
